- Para llegar a la isla hay que tomar un bus en la isla Baltra, donde se encuentra el aeropuerto y luego tomar un transporte de barcaza. Una vez en la isla hay dos opciones para llegar a Puerto Ayora, al sur de la misma; la primera es por bus hasta la terminal y luego un taxi hasta la población u el hotel directamente. También hay la alternativa de alquilar un taxi.

To get to the island, take a bus from Baltra Island, where the airport is located, and then take a barge. Once on the island, there are two options to get to Puerto Ayora, in the south of the island: the first is by bus to the terminal and then a taxi directly to the town or the hotel ($1.50). Alternatively, rent a taxi. - Reserva El Chato
El camino a la Reserva comienza en Santa Rosa, a una hora en coche de Puerto Ayora,y durante la estación seca este es un refugio para tortugas gigantes mientras migran de zonas costeras a altas, y se pueden observar los comportamientos naturales de estos animales verdaderamente salvajes.
Hay un estanque en El Chato que a menudo está rodeado de tortugas, y a veces incluso lleno de ellas mientras disfrutan revolcándose en el agua dulce. Alrededor de los estanques hay cientos de acres de pastos naturales de tierras altas y bosque nativo de Scalesia donde se pueden encontrar búhos, pinzones de Darwin, papamoscas ,y otras aves acuáticas (patillos de las Bahamas, zarapito, entre otros). The trail to the Reserve begins in Santa Rosa, an hour's drive from Puerto Ayora. During the dry season, this reserve is a refuge for giant tortoises as they migrate from coastal to highland areas, and you can observe the natural behaviors of these truly wild animals.
There is a pond in El Chato that is often surrounded by turtles, and sometimes even filled with them as they enjoy wallowing in the fresh water. Surrounding the ponds are hundreds of acres of natural upland grasslands and native Scalesia forest where you can find owls, Darwin's finches, flycatchers, and other waterfowl (Bahamian ducks, curlews, among others). We can also have the adventure of walking through the lava tunnel. - TOUR DE BAHÍA
